Liza McLean and Andrew Kay established Kay and McLean Productions Pty Ltd in 2008.
The Perth Season of The Graduate is their sixth production. Together Liza and Andrew have produced the Australian and New Zealand tour of “Waiting for Godot”, the Australian tour and Hong Kong season of “Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps”, Elizabeth Coleman’s “Secret Bridesmaids Business”, the Australian tour of “Warriors of Brazil”, and “Feline Intimate” starring Meow Meow which also tours Edinburgh in August.
The recent tour of “Waiting for Godot” – starring Ian McKellen, Roger Rees, Matthew Kelly and Brendan O’Hea  represents a continuation of their ongoing relationship with Duncan C Weldon and Paul Elliott. Together they have produced and been associated with the Australian, New Zealand and West End seasons of “The Importance of Being Earnest” starring Patricia Routlege,  “The Hollow Crown” starring Ian Richardson, Donald Sinden, Derek Jacobi and Dianna Rigg, the Australian and New Zealand tours of Alan Bennett’s “Bed Among the Lentils” – starring Maggie Smith and “Soldiering On” - starring Margaret Tyzack, the Australian tour of “Miss Fozzard Finds Her Feet” - starring Brenda Blethyn and “Her Big Chance” - starring Sigrid Thornton all plays from the famous “Talking Heads” series.
Andrew and Liza have have been producing and presenting productions at His Majesty’s Theatre for over ten years, including “The Blue Room” - starring Sigrid Thornton and Marcus Graham, “Master Class” & “The Book Club” starring Amanda Muggleton, .  Kay & McLean Productions and producing partners, HVK Productions and Michael Coppel look forward to this and future collaborations with PTT.
This is Kay and McLean’s first production with The Graduate’s Original Producer’s, John Reid and Sacha Brooks.

 

 

HVK Productions

HVK was established in 2005 by David Vigo and Andrew Kay together with the late Clifford Hocking AM.
HVK is the worldwide producer of the 2 time Grammy Award winning “Soweto Gospel Choir” .
In April 2010 Soweto Gospel Choir completed its 5th major concert tour of the USA, Also in 2010 the Choir will participate in the opening ceremony of the Shanghai World Expo, perform at the international concert celebrating the start of the 2010 World Cup, join with U2 as the face and sound of ESPN’s World Cup coverage, record with Sengalese/US singer Akon the music for Pepsi Cola’s “Oh Africa” 2010 World Cup TV commercial, make its 7th appearance at Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival as well as undertake tours of Spain, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
HVK also is the worldwide producer of “Tango Fire” from Buenos Aires which in 2010/11 will have major seasons at Melbourne’s State Theatre, New York’s Joyce Theatre, London’s Peacock Theatre (co presented by Sadlers Wells) , as well as tours of Australia, Singapore, China and the UK.
Other tours produced by HVK include, “Black Dyke Band”, “Paco Pena”, “Treorchy Male Choir” and “Harlem Gospel Choir”.

 

Michael Coppel Presents

Michael Coppel has been one of the most prominent and active concert promoters in Australia and New Zealand for over 30 years.
Each year his company presents several hundred performances throughout both countries, featuring a variety of artists from all genres of contemporary music, in indoor and outdoor venues.
Particular highlights include U2’s Vertigo Tour of November 2006, which played nine stadium shows in Australia and New Zealand to over 550,000 fans, making it the biggest selling and arguably the most spectacular concert tour ever to visit the two countries.
In 2007, MCP set a new concert touring benchmark, with Pink’s 36 date arena selling 306,000 tickets, the highest ever by a female headliner.
This was topped in 2009 by the most successful Australian arena tour ever – Pink’s Funhouse tour sold out 58 arena shows around Australia and played to a collective audience in excess of 650,000.
To date during 2010 Mr. Coppel has presented some of the hottest new artists around, including Taylor Swift, Pixies, Phoenix and Lady Gaga, and the once-in-a-lifetime Troubador reunion by Carole King and James Taylor.
As well as producing many major open-air festivals and stadium shows MCP has a growing list of international theatrical production credits.
In 2004 and 2005, Michael Coppel produced the smash hit musical by Queen and Ben Elton, We Will Rock You, which played to more than 750,000 people during its Australian season and then completed a successful Tokyo season.
In March 2007, the Australian production of Miss Saigon opened at Her Majesty’s Theatre in Melbourne to rave reviews. A co-production between MCP, Louise Withers and Linda Bewick, the production toured nationally around Australia for the following two years.
In December 2007, the Australian production of Spamalot opened in Melbourne, a co-production between MCP and Boyet Ostar Productions, the originating producers of the New York, London and Las Vegas productions.
Currently Michael Coppel is Australian co-producer of the 10th Anniversary season of Mama Mia, the smash hit Abba musical in successful seasons in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
He welcomes the efforts of Andrew Kay and Liza McLean to give him legitimacy in the world of theatrical drama.

 

Perth Theatre Trust

The Perth Theatre Trust (PTT) , a statutory authority established and constituted under the Perth Theatre Trust Act 1979, is responsible for the management of Perth's premier performing arts venues and for the management of BOCS Ticketing and Marketing. The theatres and venues currently under the control of PTT are:

• His Majesty's Theatre (Government owned)
• Perth Concert Hall (leased from City of Perth)
• Subiaco Arts Centre {leased from City of Subiaco)
• The Playhouse Theatre (leased from Diocese of Perth)

The Trust will also be responsible for managing the new State Theatre Centre of Western Australia which is due to open in early 2011 and the Albany Entertainment Centre which will open in late 2010.
PTT programming contributes to the development of Western Australia's performing arts by providing opportunities for the local performing arts industry to present shows at PTT venues, employment of performers and audience development. Through PTT programming the Trust is able to present a wider range of productions and performances by world class artists in Western Australia, thereby enhancing the reputation of both the Trust's venues and the State of Western Australia.
Through its association with major performing arts organisations and centres in Australia and New Zealand, including the OZPAC coalition, City of Perth and the WA
State Government, numerous programming initiatives have been arranged or copresented over many years. These have included the BBC Symphony Orchestra, The King and I, Les Miserables, various winners of the Sydney International Piano
Competition and more recently the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Edward Scissorhands and King Lear by the Bell Shakespeare Company.
